Post subject: FB3 DEBUT ALBUM 2009 REISSUE |
 |
|
Hello,
I've just found on the two tone forum that this year the FB3 debut album is being reissued. All the information regarding the upcoming release is below in bold. Please remember this what I have pasted from the forum and I'm no way affiliated with the product.
I'm pleased to announce the release of the 17 track reissue of The Fun
Boy Three's debut album The Fun Boy Three on Cherry Pop, an imprint of
Cherry Red Records, on 21 September 2009.
Unlike the frankly horrible version previously issued as part of the
Fame series, this version comes with an 8 page booklet, featuring
promotional photos, nearly 2000 words of sleeve notes, improved artwork compared to the original release, 6 bonus tracks (including the previously unavailable on CD 'Just Do It', which is part 2 of the extended version of 'It Ain't What You Do') and an advert for a book about some band written by some bloke to be published by Cherry Red Books
FULL TRACK LISTING:
1. Sanctuary
2. Way On Down
3. The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum
4. Life In General (Lewe In Algemeen)
5. Faith, Hope and Charity
6. Funrama 2 *
7. Best of Luck Mate *
8. It Ain't What You Do (It's The Way That You Do It) *
9. The Telephone Always Rings
10. I Don't Believe It
11. Alone
ADDITIONAL TRACKS:
12. Just Do It *
13. The Funrama Theme (Extended Version) *
14. Summertime (Extended Version)
15. Summer Of '82
16. The Telephone Always Rings (Extended Version)
17. The Alibi
The catalogue number will be CRPOP27.
Blatant plug over... |

This is just part of the cherry red records release catalogue and was in the pipeline long before any Specials reunion. They have released a bunch of laurel aitken stuff as well. |
Cherry Red has also re-issued material by Terry, Blair And Anoushka, The Piranhas, The Untouchables and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. _________________ www.myspace.com/backdoorpromotions |

I hope so. They're both great albums, and the second is underrated. _________________ Wish I had lipstick on my shirt, instead of piss stains on my shoes. |

I agree with you. My favourite album is Waiting, every track is a winner. The debut is way too experimental for my liking |

It is highly unlikely, purely because it is still available on the EMI Gold catalogue. If it was deleted we would be attempting to get it re-released with bonus tracks and sleeve notes, artwork etc.
Cheers

I'll be giving it a wide berth, bad enough first time round. |

Same as that Stewart. Still one of my favourite albums. Love the vinyl sleeve with the eyes cut out. Loved the Lebanon 12" as well. Definitely had their own thing going on. I remember seeing them on No73 (showing my age now). Great stuff. |

Got to agree with you there Frank09. "The More I See (The Less I Believe)", "We're Having All the Fun", and "The Farm Yard Connection" are great tracks.
And then there's "Our Lips Are Sealed". Absolutely fantastic. |
