Post subject: Pet sadnesses that your day has passed and your an old man
watching the kids pushing each other in bus stop queues and stealing apples from the old ladies gardens.
walking through a park on a summers day seeing young loved up couples lying round staring into each others eyes.
realising that my sons will never believe implicitly that i am the greatest man that ever existed again but rather view me at best as a slightly embarassing old fool.....

how about thinking i'd suddenly worked out how to chat up young women and feeling slightly pleased with myself until the cold realisation dawned that the reason we were having a laugh is that i was 'no threat' or worse that i reminded them of their dad! _________________ www.myspace.com/wearethedads www.punksnotdad.com

Listening to Enjoy Yourself and realising what the content is actually telling you
Never thought all that much about age when I was 16 ... just a great song to dance around to. _________________ Can you hear them talking about us

Giving away leopard print halter neck mini's cos you don't want to be "Mutton dressed as lamb'
Not drinking much on a "School night"
Realising the guy's where I live are checking the bloke I am with
Correcting homework for men I am dating
Being asked out so i will edit their essays!
Being so lame and slow at texting and having to find my glasses to send sext messages
Having the front door opened as my g/friend props me up in the neighbours plastic lawn chair and instead of being "Thrilled I am there" - asking me "Where did that chair come from?"
FINALLY giving in now.....when they want to wear their socks whilst we .... _________________ marigold

When I heard a Buzzcocks song on a commercial for senior citizens I cried a little.

No, because you've got a reason not to like today's music (i.e. it's all commercial crap), whereas it was probably 2-Tone your dad didn't like. _________________ F-F-F-F*CK ART, LET'S DANCE!

My parents are quite able to make a very coherent argument that 2Tone and any other popular music me and my sister listened to is crap. The fact you think the next generation's music is any different means you are losing grasp of reality and will be shouting at the world soon. _________________ There's still nothing wrong with it!
