Not hot ones - like Mexico! I spose It's whether you like to be cold - so British Isles for me - allthough spending tons of money there is getting silly?I've always wanted to go to The Channel Islands.

Coast line, churches, pubs, lighthouses, fishing ports, castles, sea side towns. I make my Husband insane. On a beach I will drive myself and everyone else crazy. What do you do there? Hot, sandy, boring?can't walk iin thongs (feet or bum) usually end up with a rash in both locations Very Happy Aren't I fun. NOT CAMPING!

I only went camping once it was the worst thing that has happened to me, I was so fed up by the end of it all it was unreal.
The best place to kick back and rest is Newquey, the surfin, the night life and if you go a little way out of town all is peace.
Cool Cool Cool Cool

Must be camping in Wales, 6 of us went, we had a personel tent and a beer tent unfortunately Bodge(R I P) demolished the beer tent after about 2 hours in a dramatic drunken fall. Later that evening it was really cold and we could not start a fire, so in my teenage wisdom i decided to lower some loo roll down into the petrol tank of my ford escort mk2, thinking it would come out covered in petrol therefore we could start a fire,i did not think about the risk of it dropping into the tank which is of course what happened, so we still couildn't start a fire we couldn't start the car in the morning Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

I just love exploring new places. Could never go on a package holiday. Big city or countryside, I get something outta both. I avoid tourist hotspots, although in major cities that can be difficult.

I actually really liked Auckland. It was like a very quiet and small London.

Best....Antigua. Lovely, individual rustic 5 star hotel on the most beautiful beach, been there twice. Tobago comes a close second, also been to same hotel there twice Cool Cool

Worst...none really, I honestly don't think I've ever had a bad holiday, but its what you make it and how you react when things go wrong. Had some very hairy moments on hols, like being in Sharm El Sheikh when it was bombed but it didn't ruin the holiday for me....just affected a fair few things in the last couple of days Confused

It sounds more exotic than it is...its basically a beach resort in Egypt, Red Sea area, good for snorkelling n diving.

It was the last but one night of the hols, we were out for a drink in a sister hotel to ours which was several miles out of the main drag. I was tired n sunburnt, my other half asked me if I wanted another drink, I opted to go back to our hotel n have the last one there. That decision more than likely saved our lives, less than 30mins after we left a bomb went off in a neighbouring hotel. People died. We found out the next day. Somber mood at hotel from people who cared, other tossers just moaned there was no this or that as supplies hadn't got through. No one went out on our last night there so hotel busy that night n staff stressed n overworked, it was quite tough to see them crumble, some had maybe lost friends/rels. On way to airport we drove past the bombsite....

Didn't mean it to sound weird when said it didn't ruin hols, but it didn't. It was sad n scary at the time but we still made the most even of the last day n night and were supportive to the staff as best we could be....don't wanna come across as heartless.

No, not at all - infact you carrying on and just being there, was the most supportive mindset you could bring.
Phew, you never know how things may unfold.

Our hotel was between the two bomb target sites of Sharm old (market) town and Naama bay. The hotel we had been drinking in was in the row of hotels where the Moevenpick and Ghazala gardens was. We left the bar at about 12.30 and got a taxi. The bombs went off at 1am ish, close call...

I've been to Sharm several times as i do a bit of diving.... I went about a month after the bombing and went to the bomb site, strangely it just had a big canvas cutain around it but you could get in and walk around
.... very surreal...... I've always stayed in the Movenpick when holidaying there.... it shows you what a thin line between life and death we walk in this modern age!!

Best holidays were Turkey, Scotland and Blackpool. Worst was Wales, nice enough people but not much to do.
