Dont want to sound soppy but just a big thanks to The Specials for an awesome night at Brixton as it was the first ever gig for me & my girlfriends 9 year old daughters. They both skanked the whole night through.
Also big thanks to all the skins n rudies for your comments of approval & encouragement.

Tell you what- they had a lot to live up to with the departure of Neville Staple but by god they did.

Got absolutely sick of hearing moaning online but massive respect to Lynval for upping his game and to the rest of the lads for a stonking tour.
The new inclusions were definitely the highlights,

Maggies Farm was the best Ive heard it.

Cheers boys!. Cool Cool Cool Cool

I couldn't agree more Paul.

I always wanted to hear Maggies Farm live and they did it brilliantly.

I look forward to the next tour !!

It has been a brilliant tour and they have been on superb form. They are without doubt a fantastic band. There were a lot of comments about it not going to be the same without Neville, but they were still great without him. It's just as exciting now as it was way back in 1979. Can't wait until they tour again.

I have to admit the following:

2009: Saw them alot and had the pleasure of being at Newcastle and they were awesome all tour!

2011: Saw them a few times and was really saddened at Nev's health decline and thought it was probably for the best if they didnt tour again.

2013: The first time Ive seen them on this tour was both nights at Brixton and really thought they wouldnt carry it off without Nev.

Well I got that wrong!

I thought Roddy, Horace & Lynval were top notch and seemed to play a greater role in the band and become more frontline. I went away thinking they were better than 2011, my son disagreed though and he is sleeping in the shed now for having such a lack of respect!

Prefer Roddy singing Concrete Jungle.

I think now is the time to write a couple of songs & tour again, however Roddy seemed to enjoy Brixton night 1, but seemed to storm off stage night 2. Hope I've got that wrong.

How good was Ghost Town, I cant stand it, Why & Maggies Farm!

Loved the new arrangement of Stereotype as well. Great dubby extension and Lynval was inspired!

Thought Lynval stepped up and took on Nev's part as if he had been doing I all the time, saw them In Leicester and Portsmouth and thought Portsmouth was the best I've ever seen them, I tweeted at the Pompey gig to all the where's Nev brigade, they are still f@@king great. Roddy seemed to be laughing all through the gig, Horace was all over the stage and Terry's dry wit was at its sarcastic best.......loved it like I did in 1980, 2009, 2010 at RAH, 2011 and 2012 in Cork on my Birthday......thanks again to the fab 5 (corny I know), horn section and strings you were all fab. Last but not least a big thanks to Paul, Mike and Shan for the heads up with the pre sale. Cheers all and here's till next time.

Have to agree about Pompey gig,Roddy's behaviour could have alot to do with the fact he was in the surrounding pubs all afternoon.
Terry going into Frank Sinatra mode at the beginning of Stereotype was hilarious.
