Her first show at the Royal festival Hall in London sold out in a couple of hours.
She added another date: monday 17 june (at the same place).

Never especially my cup of tea - but I looked her up on wikipedia to see how old she is - 58 - fair play.

Noticed this on the wiki page:

"....her father was a Belgian Walloon bacteriologist who milked venom from snakes....."

..not many people can say that.

The one and only time I've seen Siouxsie was at the Royal Festival Hall. She was alright. I was neither particularly impressed or unimpressed. My mate was a serious Siouxsie fan; she used to run a Siouxsie fanzine and travelled down from Aberdeen for the gig. She assured me it was a very average gig by her standards. I've always mainly thought of her as slightly irritating drama queen whose made a few very decent singles.

I personally would love to see another Siouxsie gig but not a seated london venue. Her mantaray solo album was very good. Seen her many times over the years, even chatted to her out the back of a Transit tour van years ago. Record wise I've spent a fortune, but love her voice and definately her wail !

If you do like SIOUXSIE, but want to hear something new, try SAVAGES the band who sound like a modern take on SIOUXSIE meets WARSAW/JOY DIVISION !

Siouxsie and the Banshees were great in their day - 1978-1981 and maybe a few singles after.

Peter Hook in 2012.

Siouxsie a few years ago at the Royal festival show, after a few more recent songs, she sings her classics.
