Six years back on the road and not s single new chord struck. How many more have to jump ship before this cabaret act calls it a day?

Personally I wish them all well, I guess we all have to make a living one way or another.......

I probably won't do this tour as i'm doing a lot of scooter rallys this year as well as other gigs.....

but i'm glad I got to see them again on the previous tours which is something I never thought would happen Cool

Fair bit of hostility on social media re the tour and depleted lineup.

Simple solution - don't go!

£45 + fees is just to much (to young), less roddy and nev as well, ouch.
im out, have some great memories, margate (great pre gig) brixton hammersmith, pompey cov (great pre gig) , albert hall, will cherish them all.

Will be giving this tour a miss unfortunately as not paying £46 plus there's no Roddy or Nev. Good luck to the remaining members but it's just not the same.

£45.00?

Hard to believe that the tour was organised after Roddy left....which begs the question - if even he didn't want to climb aboard the gravy train this time, methinks its gonna be a complete fucking shambles of a tour....

Post subject: The Specials Touring Again. Reply with quote

I saw Neville play at the Brighton Tattoo Convention last Saturday and he was brilliant. Spoke to him afterwards and told him he looked happier than when he was with the Specials. Certainly towards the end of the 2012 tour. He said he was, I asked him if he had spoken to Roddy, he said that he told Roddy that he would also feel as though a big weight has been lifted from his shoulders. And that he also would feel relieved and more at ease with himself. It looks as though Neville and now Roddy who were never really happy for a long time have left because they chose to, or because they could not take the lack of personal input (especially Roddy). Will the loss of Roddy have a massive impact, I personally think so and I missed Neville on the last tour, or will Terry, Brad, Horace and Lynval deliver once again. They are still Special but is this the last time? Cool

Cheers, it's only showing Manchester & Bournemouth at the moment. I want Newcastle, which is an O2 venue, so hopefully that'll show later.

Have to say that having seen the boys twice first time around and then getting to see them again 30 years later a couple more times my appetite for seeing them live hasn't diminished irrespective of line up... can't wait for the Olympia again. Cool

I can't wait for another tour, if Roddy wasn't happy and Nev they will both be missed as per Jerry.

Life is too short for egos, I just want to dance and have a good time!

Come on Roddy, it's not too late to change your mind and tour?
