Handwritten lyrics were a nice idea - although they have gone already. Beat bundle sounds good to me.

SLF got 376% of what they were after, so not far off 4 times what they were looking for (now finished and album released)

The English Beat currently has 23% with 56 days left for pledges

Up to 50% now with 40 days left. I wonder if they will hit the target in time? Turmed out there were a few handwritten lyrics left so I ordered them - 3 are left.

Its gone from 23% with 56 days left to 50% with 40 days left, so that's another 27% in 16 days - so if it continues at that rate it should finish on about 117%. Even allowing for a bit of slowing down, it will hopefully reach the goal in time.

I have noticed the handwritten lyrics having more available a couple of times after reaching zero, must be a good seller and Dave commiting to delivering more as the writers cramp eases off.

Check out all the updates, there are a few good tunes that should be on the album

Kenny - I went for Dream Home in New Zealand. Thought it would be nice to have the lyrics to an album track rather than one of the singles. I was disappointed when I saw they had sold out and then really pleased when a few more appeared although I think that beat bundle is good value. I am still thinking about the signed vinyl.

I'm sure it will look great in a frame, definitely a pretty unique item that you wouldn't often see Smile

Its now on 59% with 25 days left so has only pulled in another 9% in 15 days, definitely slowed down a lot, and at that pace it would be pretty far short of the target (would finish on 74% at 3% per 5 days remaining)

Need someone feeling a bit flush to chip in with a tour with the band pledge, that would certainly pump the % up

It would be very disappointing if they did not hit the target - lets hope it keeps getting support between now and the end date.

On the email I got, it says:
The English Beat starring Dave Wakeling has pledged to fulfill all exclusives by 31 December, 2015 unless otherwise stated.

I think that would just be for things like dinner with Dave and jam sessions, not producing and dispatching the album - I hope

Slightly off topic from the fundraising theme but when they record the album, would they consider doing any covers?

If so, I think The Beat-en Generation by The The could be adapted to the Beat sound. I could imagine Dave Wakeling doing this very well. It has that similar mixture of a happy sounding tune with a darker message. The message is relevant and by serendipity, so is the title. Wink

now on 69% with 13 days remaining, I have noticed the % going up a fair bit the last few days (about 3% a day) so it remains to be seen if it will hit its target on time
