While it's good to see The Selecter releasing new material, it's not even in the same league as their first two albums.

It sounds like ska by numbers to be honest.

Agreed, although Celebrate The Bullet would be a hard album to beat - and in fairness I thought they were superb in Belfast last year, probably the best gig of theirs that I've seen.

There is a video of that gig on Youtube and I agree that they were indeed on top form, but then again they were playing all of the Too Much Pressure album. Says it all really.

I was also at that gig in Belfast, they played all of Too Much Pressure and 4 songs from String Theory Smile

the only reason they played all of Too Much Pressure was because it was the 35th Anniversary. Celebrate The Bullet and Train To Skaville were also performed.

Brilliant Gig Smile

Can't believe the vibe on the new stuff. As much as the old stuff is legendary, I think both String Theory and Made in Britain are quality Albums. The Selecter Live are astounding and always fresh. As much as I love going to see all the bands, they do feel like going to a rewind/retro show...

Keep up the good work Pauline, Gaps & The Boys xx

Nice with a new album, but I wonder if it's real drums?
Sounds like a drum machine to me.

Is this the actual cover? If it is is especially rubbish. It looks like a point of sale board from a JD store.

I was listening to Made in Britain today, the perfect follow up to Celebrate The Bullet.

I like all of The selecter albums except Reel To Reel though it has one or two good songs Smile

When Gaps left after Pucker I lost interest but all that changed when he returned in 2011 Very Happy

The Selecter are the only band keeping the 2 Tone legacy alive and well in 2015 Smile

It'a a shame The Specials didn't record a new album when their were six originals on board, it might have been brilliant?

The Beat promised a new album for years but it never happened, and now that Everett Morton is gone I really don't see any point.

Is this out yet? It doesn't appear to be available from Vocaphone or any of the usual outlets.
