Why there are many videos of this shows complete (45 minutes or more), but about "The Specials" there are only 3 video clips (1 is only 45 secs)

The first 2 live tracks have been shown many times on the BBC but the last track was only shown once, 36 years ago and hasn't been repeated since.

Look! Hear! and Something Else are other BBC programmes that have footage of The Specials that haven't been repeated, except for Monkey Man.

Well Man At C & A and It's Up To You from Something Else were repeated once many years ago.

Hopefully a dvd of all the above performances will be made available at some point in the future but I seriously doubt it.

In the late 70's most people couldn't afford to buy a VHS Recorder, now they can't pay people to take them away even charity shops don't want them Laughing

It's really a shame, we need the Something Else, Old Grey Whistle Test and Rudies Come Back in HQ, the entire footage. Also the Madness OGWT

Also I remember someone here posted a show where they performed Concrete Jungle and Moonstomp, cant remember the name Crying or Very sad

Such a collection exists for The Jam. It gathers together TV slots, promo videos and documentaries. It's a real shame that something similar featuring The Specials couldn't be put together. It looks like all there is to look forward to are more pointless rip off re-issues. Crying or Very sad

Too Much Too Young, Rat Race and Skinhead Moonstomp were shown on the programme Look! Hear! (1980) Smile

If the BBC released all of the above mentioned footage they would no longer have the brilliant Music archive they have, though the clips shown from Rudie's Come Back is over used in Documentaries?

Their is loads of footage of The Jam doing the rounds but very little of The Specials, maybe that's why the BBC are holding on to what they have?

All of The Specials footage is from Youtube so the quality won't be great, the Look Hear performance was on Youtube but it was removed after a short time.

Most of the footage was originally uploaded by people on here including myself Confused
