Yeah, picked it up the other day. It's... Ok.
I always liked the more energetic Selecter stuff of the first album, and never got on with Celebrate the Bullet. There are no stand out tracks, and while it is great that they are still recording, I felt I liked it out of maybe duty as opposed because it was good.
I felt the same about the last two Madness albums. They were fine, but because the band were key to my younger years I was perhaps more forgiving. |

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know about this either, ordered the last album through TM Stores so I thought they would of sent an email for pre order.
Just ordered the signed copy through them so should have it in a day or two
I thought the last album was pretty good, some tracks that reminded me very much of Celebrate The Bullet type tracks _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

I loved the last album - Subculture. There was talk at one stage of a dub version being released which I thought was a great idea, but sadly never materialised.
I think Daylight is another strong release. Pauline and Gaps vocals really complement each other. The lyrics for Paved With Cold are powerful: "A thousand spikes in shop doors, I'm feeling like a lost cause, you move me on in the morning, and suddenly without warning, you douse me down with ice water" |

Don't forget Rankin Rogers album (cited by Dave Wakeling as a reason to stall on his album).... _________________ I got one art "O" level, it did nothing for me !! |

I got more back in refund than I paid (due to payment in dollars and fall of pound over the time) but that doesn't stop me from bringing it up as the debacle it is.... _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

Bought listened once, not sure its as good as the previous two albums, but will probably grow on me. One listen isnt enough really to make judgement. lts just my initial thoughts. _________________ The past is our knowledge, the present our mistake and the future we always leave too late. |

I've listened to it a few times now, I don't rate it as highly as Subculture - but I remember being a little disappointed with that until I had given it a good few plays _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

No problem. Bought a few items there myself (Live In Britain lp and String Theory lp) that don't come up on discogs or eBay often. |

Also got my copy signed by Pauline & Gaps at the recent Wrexham gig but not had chance to play it yet. Great gig & venue by the way with The Selecter & Roger's Beat on top form _________________ I don't like life when things get dull |

No, dont ! This is better than anything on TV. This will be coming to the attention of broadcasters soon with the idea of a mini series. _________________ Naked from your bath, you go naked to your bed, but i cant stop the hatred running through my...... f * * k i n g .. head. |
