That's another release to add to the 'Not a Fucking Chance' list. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

It's not as ridiculous as you think.
Chrysalis Records is now an independent company again. It has got out from under EMI then Parlophone/Warner's.
They are soft releasing material by artists and labels that are part of their roster. Young people are buying this stuff. Why not let them? Also the Best Of was never issued on vinyl when it came out in 2008 (at least I don't think it was).
So would you rather live in a world where someone has to sell their collection in order for a newer fan to have a physical copy, or one in which they can pop to a record store (many towns have them for vinyl now) locally and buy or order such an album?
These releases aren't for us.
The future Fun Boy Three and Colourfield ones most certainly are if you like that sort of thing.
I'm a Terry Hall completist. That doesn't mean I think everyone else should be.
Oh and just to cheer you up further there are UK versions of these releases with Two Tone catalogue numbers. The packaging is pretty good too. _________________ a tale of woe: a yahoo group for fans of Terry Hall and all his work.

The world does not need another Best of album, and that goes for The Beat, Bad Manners and most of all, Madness.
Nor does the world need yet another bog standard re-issue of the first Specials album. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

So the youth of today can't have decent condition copies of these albums? They have to rely on Spotify and Youtube? Either you are entirely missing the point or you're subscribing to the "I'm all right Jack." mentality.
These albums are not in print until they are reissued. This is mainly because the record company keeps changing hands. Each time the company changes hands the records and CDs are deleted. Why would Chrysalis Records want to allow Parlophone/Warner's to continue selling Specials records? _________________ a tale of woe: a yahoo group for fans of Terry Hall and all his work.

Somehow I doubt someone new to the band will be splashing out 30 notes on a double vinyl. Not when they can pick up CD versions of the first two albums for around a tenner.
And I don't know anyone called Jack..... _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.
