Here's one.
What are the three connections between 2 Tone and James Bond? |
The 2-Tone Band Selecter released a song called James Bond, More Specials features Sock It To Em J.B. (which lists all the films) and Terry & co perform All The Time in The World (from Her Majesty's Secret Services) |
Not the three I was thinking of. You have one of them, there are another two. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

If you haven't read it already, I would highly recommend the book Before We Was We by Madness. The entire text is straight from the mouths of all the band members and covers the story up until the release of My Girl, which suggests pehaps a second volume. The tales of the 2 Tone Tour are worth the price of the book alone. How they all survived it is beyond me. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

The answer is they are all fans of Herbert Kretzmer who is the man who wrote the lyrics for, Les Misérables.
Many singers including Susan Boyle and Neil Diamond have had hits with Le Mis songs such as, "I Dreamed a Dream"
Herbert's first hit was, "Goodness Gracious Me" (by Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren) and he also wrote the words to “When You Gotta Go” which is the song Barbra Streisand closes her concerts with.
Herbert's best known song ("She") was written for a TV theme tune and sung by his close friend, Charles Aznavour. Many famous singers have had a go at recording 'She' including Elvis Costello, Jack Jones, and Jeff Lyne but the best version of"She" was the version by Dave Stewart and Terry Hall (a.k.a Vegas).
Check out this video for the song which should have been the Xmas number one in 92.

I'll take half of point Harry, knew it was something to do with Vegas _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

Another one winging its way to me, albeit via the library. |

The other two are:
The version of OO7 by The Bodysnatchers on The Compact 2 Tone Story.
Charlie Higsons of The Higsons wrote a series of James Bond novels based on his childhood and youth. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

Ah yes, I've seen Rhoda perform 007 live so I should have remembered that!
Charlie Higson is a very talented chap.
I'm sure there are other links between 2-Tone and James Bond _________________ I got one art O'level it did nothing for me |

Another Bond connection would be John Barry, whose work not only includes a few Bond themes but also influenced the sound of More Specials and In The Studio. (Lonely Crowd and, I think Bright Lights). |

And of course John Barry wrote the Persuaders Theme Tune which was the Pre-Curtain-Raiser-Tune on one of the recent Tours. |

Here's another one, some of you may have heard about it lately...
Which 2 Tone artist performed on a UK Christmas no. 1? |
