Dave Jordan died of a heart attack in Paris on March the 7th, 1995 He was only 43!
Jordan engineered the Some Girls L.P. by the Stones, then engineered the Specials debut LP. He then worked with The Fun Boy 3 and Shane MacGowan. _________________ I got one art O'level it did nothing for me |

I have read that he died from a heroin overdose. Too young to die either way _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

I read that when Dave Jordan married his best man was Shane MacGowan. I imagine they had quite a stag party. I wonder if Shane made a Best Man's speech?
There's a nice sentimental song called 'You Don't Know Me At All' (written by Dave Jordan) that appears on Ringo Starr's 5th solo album which came out in the mid 70s.
I was interested to read in Elvis Costello's autobiography that Ringo had asked him to produce an album for him. I don't know if it was 1978's 'Bad Boy' recorded in Barbados with Dr John on keyboards or if it was 81' 'Stop & Smell The Roses' (which featured McCartney, Ronnie Wood etc) but either way, Elvis said no.
I wonder if Ringo listened to the first Specials LP and thought, "I'll ask Dave to see if he can get Costello on board?" _________________ I got one art O'level it did nothing for me |

A few years back I exchanged a few emails with Roddy and he very kindly offered to post a signed photo to me. When I gave him my address - this was part of his reply:
'Ah Barrow in Furness! thats where our sound engineer/producer Dave Jordan
came from!
Sadly last time i was there with some of the Specials was Daves funeral (he overdosed on Heroin wilst working for Shanes McGowans Popes in Paris)' _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

Going by the number of deaths caused by it on that list, heroin seems to be the Devil's tipple of choice.
And as the old saying goes If you are using that amount of cocaine it's God's way of telling you you have too much money. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

I did wonder how Dolores O'Riordan died as it wasn't widely reported on
Didn't even know Tom Petty was no more either _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |

Drowning due to alcohol intoxication was the given as the cause of death for Dolores O'Riordan.
I often wondered how pissed do you have to be to drown in a bath? This pissed apparently:
Toxicology tests showed only "therapeutic" amounts of medication in O'Riordan's blood, but showed up 330mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood - meaning she was more than four times over the 80mg legal limit for driving.
Shocking. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

I suppose the moral is - if you're seeking a therapeutic bath, use Radox, not alcohol. Much less likely to result in drowning. _________________ Bernie Rhodes Knows - Dont Argue |
