I've gone for 'Porridge', possibly because I've just watched the 2 Xmas specials and the 1st series. Great stuff. I watch all of the episodes fairly regularly as I'm a big Ronnie Barker fan.

'Steptoe & Son' I also love and haven't long finished watching every episode, which took some weeks! 'Fawlty Towers' is also a favourite from the list as is 'Father Ted'.

I voted for Mr Fawlty.
I think the best British sit com is probably The Rise & Fall of Reggie Perrin (with Leonard Rossiter) and Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads had the best theme tune.
But I think Basil Fawlty made me laugh the most out of everyone on your list especially when he's giving his car a damn good thrashing and/or not mentioning the war.

Only Fools for me. Followed closely by Porridge and Open all hours.
For some reason could never get into rising damp.
Dads army has been repeated so many times I don't find it funny now.
