Now if it was the original line up then I'd be saying bye bye to the wife and kids and getting my ass there to watch them play.
We can all dream!! |

I've seen Roger and Everetts bEAT quite a few times and enjoyed them every time.
If you can't seem em'all then its the next best thing, so I'm not complaining.
I saw the (whole) bEAT in 82 so don't consider myself as plastic for seeing the incomplete version. _________________ Hands off she's mine!! |

Same here mate. Saw Rogers version of The Beat not long ago and let me tell you they piss all over Daves version which I saw a couple of weeks ago in the states.
I'm sure Roger was told to his face at the 2Tone museum opening that anyone who goes to watch him is a plastic. |

I've seen the Beat 3 - 4 times recently and Dave's English Beat - never, with a bit of luck I will catch them next year.
Then I can make my own mind up on which one I like best |

Evening fellow plastic.
If Dave re-enacts the gig I saw then I gurantee you'll prefer RRs.
Saying that I'll be amazed if he brings the whole band over. |

Seen Rogers Beat Umpteen times and thoroughly enjoyed every gig, but having watched Dave's Beat on oo toob, they really look like something else.
Rogers Beat (for me anyway) is a bit like Going to See Bad Manners over the past couple of years, you know you'll get a good night and a good Gig, but its not like going to the The Specials. Just hoping Dave is as good as he sounds on tinterweb when I catch em next year! _________________ Forget what Huey Lewis told you, its NEVER Hip to be Square. |

I went and saw this one last night .....they rattled off 6 or seven tracks that were not on IJCSI ...took a short break then came back on and did the album.
I like Rogers Beat and saw them a couple of years back....they are a tight band....and it was great to here tracks like Rough Rider and Jackpot played live.
Was pissed off to see him reading the lyrics to some tracks from a Clipboard....was that for real ..or some kind of joke...perhaps someone can put me straight???
The Bloomsbury Ballroom is quite a big standing room only venue with a high ceiling and as such the crowd that I would estimate at about 300 was rattling about in there a bit.....would have been better at smaller venue.
Still better than staying in and watching Xfactor. _________________ ..as they sing while you slave, and I just get bored! |
