Well done Paul and Mike for a great pre gig. It was a great start to an excellent evening. It was nice to meet up with old and new forum members again. Even if i did get bloody soaked getting there.

I wish I could have been there as I'm sure it would have been FANtastistic and with the pissing rain what better place to have a Pre gig but the venue itself. Well done everyone who was involved in setting this up for the Forum members.
I get the feeling that some people would kick Santa in the balls for leaving muddy footprints on the carpet.
Hope all the Forum members and their mates had a ball!

paul as a professional festival gig organiser i get most complaints for things like free events, specials pre gigs etcetc, things i have done essentially trying to help people rather than things i get paid for. I dont know why that is, maybe people think you are somehow there to be shot at compared to when if you are running a more greed based event they expect to be ripped off. Take no notice i wasnt at the event but i'm sure it was fun.

I was in no way having a pop, I know the hard work and effort that goes into laying on these events and yes it was great to meet old and new faces. My personal opinion is having the event in the same building as the gig itself where the alcohol, food & merchandise is being sold may of contributed to lots of confused people being herded into the refreshment area earlier than anticipated. If that was how it was supposed to happen, fine but I'm not entirely sure that's the case.

It was great to see so many of us gathered together in one place.

Not seen so many familiar faces since Crimewatch was on.

It was good to see so many familiar faces before the gig. In the 3 hours between the end of the pre-show and The Specials I got to meet and chat to some great people and finally saw By The Rivers who were great. The worst thing about the entire night was the price of drinks-£4.20 for a pint is disgusting - so I just went without and spent my money on a cd of the gig instead. A wise choice as I've just listened to it and it's great. The Specials were bloody great last night.

As posted in another thread, big thanks and respect to all involved in the preshow. It was a CELEBRATION, never seen as many smiley faces and that was even before the beer started to flow.

Not possible to please all of the people all of the time. Crying or Very sad

Me and the Mrs had a great time at the pre-gig and then the gig, thanks for taking the time and making the effort.

Never seen so many Fred Perry's in one place in all my life!
