Post subject: Lynval is writing a book and Willo is lending a hand! |

Add Lynval to the illustrious list of 2-Tone era musicians who have written books about their personal and musical experiences playing ska. The guitarist and prime mover behind The Specials successful reunion, is collaborating with Paul 'Willo' Williams, author of the definitive history of the band 'You're Wondering Now -- The Specials from Conception to Reunion' on a memoir. Read an interview with Willo to get the scoop...

Great news.
I haven't read Neville's book yet, it's next on my list. For sure I love to hear Lynval's story.
I'm curious to know things about the FB3 period.
But also as being a son from immigrants coming from Surinam (it lies between the two Guyana's) and coming and growing up in a pre-multicultural Holland, there will be lot of things Ï can relate to. I can't wait.
If my health will let me I want to interview both my parents for a personal documentary about them, working title: The Forgotten Immigrants.

7 Specials...7 Angles....7 Books........Good luck Willo ...must be great to work with someone with Lynvals infectious positivity.
I have a great photo of Lynval taken at end of Leeds performance - facing the appreciative crowd - triumphant - arms aloft - ....will mail it to you when my own laptop is fixed...might be of use.
