Hey .. yeah what a few days! something I'll never forget. My first thoughts were of, what a venue!! knowhere like it ! .. atmosphere second to none, both nights and around the city... the highlight for me was meeting Brad, not long after I'd just bought a dutch Gangsters 7" from a record shop across the road from the Paradiso.. I showed him what I'd just bought, he signed it! and sat down and we had a great chat!! .. Shocked

Got some great stills, I'll share as soon a s poss. .

Cheers Crasher Cool

Just back.... ache all over from whole night in the pit! Laughing glad I've got a month till the next one. Good to meet skinheadface for first time plus of course LadySkSka and BigDave again and some others all of whose names have been lost in a haze...

On the gig itself good atmosphere in crowd and much prefer the smaller gigs but didn't think sound was too good to be honest (maybe Murphys Stout affected that!!) and felt bit deflated that Terry didn't reappear and he did seem subdued the whole gig. Lynval his normal wonderful self though!! Laughing Laughing And Nev prowling as usual.. Smile

I didn't hear Lynval say about Terry though so perhaps understandable... maybe lay of the fags Tel!... another one liner "get rid of all the bikes and replace them with hummers" though was vintage Mr Hall. Roll on UK tour now... but please please bring back Skinhead Symphony especially is it looks likely this is the last tour.

PS. Mike what happened to you mate didn't see you again after breakfast at Luton airport!!

Really?? you should have said this to me.. you were also at Cox?
I was there with my son.. he is a big fan... and after the concert he met the Specials members at Cox, his night was unforgetable... (and mine also)i left at one o clock (work and son school...) Did you stay long? Did the specials played there DJ-set and did Terry arrived (he was the only missing)?

Before the gig i walked to murphy's bar and i recognized one or two faces.. but the most members have a avatar without a picture of themselves.
Two years ago i went to Edinburgh for the Specials but the Paradiso gig was the cream on the cake.. I hope you enjoyed it too!! Sorry we didn't met. Cheers en de mazzel..

Well my thoughts are that (Thursday) was a cracker, great venue, great people - great Pre gig meet at Murphys bar, great after party & great after "after" party back at Murphy.

I had so much fun, it wasn't until 2:30 ish in the morning that I realised I hadn't eaten all day.

had a fantastic time in the Dam with top quality company. the pre gig at Dan Murphys was superb as were the after show parties at Coxs (?) and Dan Murphys again. the Paradiso is an awesome venue. i was surrounded by polite Dutch people and had loads of room to skank, right at the front, in front of Roddy! absolute blinding night!

Just back from a fantastic couple of days in the 'Dam! The pre-gig at Dan Murphys was like a home from home, catching up with many friends old and new from the forum. Well done to the staff there and the guys from the forum who organised the pre-and post- meet. The venue for the gig was amazing and with no barriers it was a chance to get close up and personal with the best band in the world. The post gig party was great and thanks to TTN for making sure that me and the missus had a chance to be part of it. I'm off for a kip now - I'll need a few weeks to recover before another 'special' nite in a few weeks - roll-on Nottingham! Cool
