But also cob, skinheadface, darkcity and his lovely missus Clare,it was fun, good to meet up again. _________________ One day they will know

just got back from Amsterdam, went to the gig on Thursday and The Specials were awesome, shame about Terry at the end but we got Guns instead of Ghost Town. Went to the after show party and had a good chat with Lynval who said that Terry wasn't happy with his voice that's why he didn't do the encore also asked him about this being the last tour and guess what

I was outside Dan Murphys chatting and drinking Tom,sorry I didn't spot you or I would have had a pint with you.
I was also shouting SUGERMAN outside DM's after The gigbut no sign of him, think he might have been backstage. _________________ One day they will know

I was at Dan Murphy's, the Gig, the after party & back to Dan Murphy's for a night cap
Can't believe we missed each other - Didn't see Paul either - but did see quite a few forum members over the course of the day.
We brought Trevor Evans & Teflon back to Dan Murphy's with us

Post subject: Just got back.....
Eh up all , we have just got back from the Paradiso gig on Thursday night.
Great few days away topped off with a good Specials concert.
The Murphy's pre and after do was really good, loads of brits out there as well as the local dutch fans.
So many faces to mention in Murphys we met, great to meet you all (but can't remember names)
The bloke from Cov selling the pin badges and his mate.
The bloke with the Walt Jabsco tattoos on his arm and the trilby who never stopped dancing (due to a local substance??.)
The lads i think from Yorkshire , one bloke in a black and white checked shirt and cool hat.
The lads from North London (One was Peter Pan and a Saints fan).
All the local skin/suede heads (Ajax i think.....)
The lad (Dutch) in the smart suite and button down, who's missus looked as though she didn't want to be there....
And thanks to the pissed up bloke from Belfast for spouting your bigoted racist views to us ..................
The paradiso was a great venue ,we managed to get on the top tier in a great position to see the band.
A good set played .
Only concern (please don't slag me off)
The song set was the same as the last tour, as was the intro etc, any chance of a bit of a revamp lads?.
What happened to Terry at the end?, i know your Mr Moody Terry but give us a bit more banter please i think we deserve it.
Can another tour say a year down the line carry on with the same format ?,some new material would be great.
Like i say i am a huge fan of the band and was there when this all kicked off in 79 but these are just my observations.
Thanks once again to all you fans for a great few days.
Cheers.
Oh and the people who asked me i was not Terry Hall's brother.......

Just got back in the door, what a great few days. 2 Specials gigs, endless beer and smiles, managed to blag our way into the aftershow. Absolutely tops. Rounded off with a pint with Sugarman in the airport bar.
Think i'm gonna sleep til Wednesday.
