Post subject: Jerry Dammers to rejoin? Reply with quote

This German newspaper article claims that Jerry Dammers will rejoin the band at the gig in Munich:

This can't be true, can it?

I don't know if you understand any of the article. The funny thing is that they write he hasn't been part of the revival so far BUT in Munich he will be on stage.

"Rude Boys" vereint

The suits were even then retro. To the flat Pork Pie hats and plates with a checkerboard pattern in black and white: the British band The Specials and 2 Tone Records label her the ska wave in England have kicked off the eighties. From 1978 to 1981 yielded only two albums, the seven musicians, a mix of sixties ska and roots reggae. Not as punk as the Clash, not as fun as stressed Madness - but still present. 1981 was the band's career - over - at least under that name. 2009's was then a tour to the 30-year existence, but without founder Jerry Dammers. Unlike on Wednesday, 21 September in Munich: Dammers is the concert in Munich's Backstage (start 20.30 clock) while his.....

Can I just correct the important bit:
In 2009 they started the tour commemorating their 30-year existence, but without founder Jerry Dammers. Unlike on Wednesday, 21 September in Munich: Dammers will take part in the concert in Munich's Backstage (begin 20.30).

Well that's very, very interesting. Cool
We will see

It's a bit confusing because the original venue was Muffathalle in Munich and to call a venue, Backstage. Rolling Eyes

The Munich Gig was just amazing! An intimate venue full to capacity of 1100 and a great performance by the lads - probably the best of the 3 European Shows I saw in A'dam, Berlin & Munich - and of course "He" wasn't there, was never going to be!!

I was on the same flight as the band from Berlin to Munich and got a chance to chat with a few of them and do the "Star-Struck" pictures bit Cool

I asked Brad about the JD return rumours and he couldn't believe peeps were still speculating that it'd happen! Complete Bollox! Rolling Eyes
