I think the change in release date may be because only about 12 of us were stupid enough to pre-order it. They are probably hoping that another 3 months of waiting will mean another 36 pre-orders.

I hope they change the title. It sort of asks the question "would you like more or less of The Specials?". The Beat look set to win the battle for best reissue or compilation package (within this basic genre) this year by a country mile.

Very good news! Just found that: http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/items/57884.htm

It´s said that the Band chose the best recordings from the 2011 England/Euro Dates and it´ll be a gatefold Sleeve!

Far better than another 20 4 7 best of release!!! That´s what we all wanted...

Would be great if sometime another Live-release from the more Specials Era would come to light.

I'm also glad that this is not just another greatest hits collection, when I saw the Artwork yesterday I thought it looked like what The Specials have been using over the last few years, but I still had no Idea it was going to be a live album until today. if you look at The Tracklist it's everything The Specials have been playing live except for the Skinhead Symphony. the only thing I'm disappointed with is the Sleeve it could have been better. I'm also glad that the chosen songs are from different venues and not just one Gig but if it was Coventry it would have been ok Smile

I agree with your comments about the album artwork. Dreadful. Nothing there to show which band it is. Could be rent-a-crowd. At least in your photo you can tell which band or bands those fans like.

I guess the new sleeve is 'a modern twist' (I hate that phrase, but I bet it was used during the pitch) on the Special AKA Live EP artwork.

Hey let's focus on the fans, they are the important ones. Not it it is just a bunch of anonymous backs of heads.

Still glad it's a live compilation, not yet another collection of the same recorded material.

Maybe the title is a legal thing. Was it not mentioned before that they can't call themselves The Specials - therefore the band name is The Specials dot dot and the title is More or Less The Specials - i.e. not quite the full band.

Or maybe I've just got too much time to overthink things...
