This song was reviewed on Round Table back in 1981 when Lynval was a guest. The link to the thread is that Lynval mentioned this as being Jerry's favourite song of all time.

Happy birthday, Timmy Thomas.

That intro reminded me of Friday Night Saturday Morning for some weird reason. But weird in a good way.

Always liked Erik Satie's piano music. It's been used a lot in films and television, 'Three Gymnopides' especially.

The Spatial AKA have actually done a version, with a Skatalites/Rico vibe.

Must be a memory prompt as I'm reminded of 'Saturday Morning Pictures' Odeon Cinema, Parkway, Camden Town and hoping I had enough dosh for these treats : ) (I usually didn't : (

Definitely reminiscent of Saturday morning cinema intermission as well, Mary. But listen again to the opening bars of Friday Night Saturday Morning before Terry sings. The Les Baxter tune just put me in mind of it.

This definitely has that eastern vibe to it, would suit The Spatials AND The Specials. Wink
