Mine has to be "Man at C & A".....

The brass on that just makes the hairs on my neck stand up, the whole track is brilliant with powerful lyrics to go with it.......

Especially for those of us us old enough to remember the ayatollah as well as C & A lol Cool

Agree with ya there Chemode! Also Stereotype, & Ghost Town - if it was 40 minutes long I'd be happy, lol!

Can't choose between the rest really, although Enjoy Yourself is possibly my least favourite.

That's my attempt at getting off the fence... it was difficult Wink

Stereotype and Stupid Marriage (when it was sung with Neville in the band). Brads drumming on Stereotype was excellent especially with Neville and now Lynval's toasting. And Stupid Marriage nearly always had the lad's laughing even Terry. Cool

on the recent tours, Man at C & A has been absolutely amazing live- the new tweaks to stereotype have been great as well. Rat Race is always great live aand Ghost Town is sublime! I really enjoyed Maggies Farm as well. Thought I cant stand it was up there as well.

Without any doubt.............Do The Dog!! It doesn't get any better than this. On the tours when they have kicked-off with this! Fantastic. I've always loved this song and live it is simply brilliant.

I'm surprised that Ghost Town is getting so many mentions here. Any recent live versions which I have heard have been nothing short of a bloody racket. The song is very much a creation of the studio. And to be honest that's where it should remain. It's such unique and perfect sounding song that it really doesn't lend itself to the live environment.

As a kid I always thought Concrete Jungle was amazing live, but as the years have passed my favourite song and live song is 'it Doesn't Make Alright'. The intro always has the hair on my neck standing!!

Cool

From the older recordings the live version of Stereotype which appears in "The 2 Tone Story" is my all time favourite, plus "Guns of Navarone" and "Man at C&A", in this case the version from "Dance Craze".
But from the reunion tour I prefer above all the live recording from 21.09.11 @Backstage München.....because I was there in the front row Cool

Do The Dog from the 2009 tour for me. That`s how to open a show.
Also have to agree that Ghost Town doesn`t work so well live.

Gangsters at Hurrah & Terry's ad lib;

'You’ve got lots of fucking trouble
What about the poor bastards you’re fighting over?
Poor bastards, Selfish bastards
This is it, This is the big one, This is the one
This is the 100,000 troops, This is where you send to Iran

Nite Klub - shows the whole band at their best.

It's Up To You - thinking back to the first bootleg albums I bought (Germany and Hurrah's New York)... the extended bit is amazing.

Trojan my sweet, much as I respect your views.. normally.. you're absolutely wrong about Ghost Town - it so is a fantastic live track, seriously atmospheric and musically beautiful... smooth & very dark, interspersed with those perfectly accentuating guitar chords makes it one of those 'hairs on the back of yer neck' tracks. So, no, not just for the studio by any means - fortunately! Smile

No Shan, love of my life, it's a bloody racket. Terry can no longer hit those high notes, the la-la-la bits have only worked in the studio (ha!) and musically it's as rough as a badgers arse. It's one of the greatest songs of all time, but only in the studio.

Maybe they got closer to the mark on the last tour, but I can't imagine the absence of Neville Staple added anything to it.
