I won a signed copy of the new album on eBay today, same price as above £10.00, the front cover isn't shown so I will have to wait and see if It's the new design or the original artwork idea? Smile

Looks like its the original design looking at that inlay, strange that they are selling at the gigs now, but 2 months until general release.
You get a free 2 tone village carrier and signed by the drummer too - bonus
Very Happy
Think the seller will be disappointed as that's probably what they paid for it!

I noticed there is a track on the new Selecter album called See Dem A Come.

Is this a cover of the Culture classic?

I'm guessing this is the version that will appear on the new album going by the song writing credits? Smile

It's nice to hear the original ska tune before the cover for a change Smile

Without hearing The Selecter version, I would hazard a guess at yes - they ain't shy of covering Ska/ Reggae material, as three volumes of the Trojan songbook testifies.
They even covered their own 'They Make Me Mad' on Made In Britain, which was a little strange

Thanks Kenny

I spotted the CD on ebay during the week and I was surprised I was the only one who placed a bid and won, I really, really was expecting to get outbid at the last minute, I'm very happy with the extra signing and the 2 Tone carrier bag. it must be my lucky day? Very Happy

If the artwork is the original I will have to buy the new version as well Smile

Really good find, Sugarman. Ebay seems to be a good place for buyers at the minute. I have bought a few things recently and other bidders do not seem to want to bid too much more than the starting price. But very surprised that no one else even put a bid on this.

I assume that the copy they are selling at the gigs (i.e the one you have Sugarman) will be considered as a promo copy before the official release?

Kenny

My cd was bought at the O2 Academy Newcastle on the 15th March 2015, I have promo copies of the last 2 studio albums so I suppose you could consider this as a promo copy or just a last minute change of mind by the band, I really don't know?

I have no idea what cd's are being sold at gigs at the moment to be honest. though I have heard of free cdr copies being given away at gigs by the band but I haven't seen any of these myself? Smile

Maybe the release in June is a re issue, in line with the current trend for bands re releasing material - just getting it out early!

Ya get a chance to appear on national TV (albeit a Nana snooze tv show), a chance to show the world your stance and repeat history with a chance to hit the viewers hard with your creations about injustice, racism, and the like and you do Secret Love?

Im looking forward to the ska version of Move Over darling...

A complete own goal. Very 2Tone legacy Shocked
