Post subject: Trojan Ska Revival Box Set Reply with quote

I just could get a hold on the Trojan Ska Revival Box Set with songs of the Selecter, Bad Manners, the Special Beat, the Coventry Automatics and the Specials.
It looks like Trojan has taken the catalogue of Receiver Records and has put the best (in their view) in a box set.
My question is, what version of the Specials is doing the life performances?

I never bought that Box set because I had all of the songs used on other cd's, The Specials live and studio tracks are taken from these cd's Smile

Well, I must confess the box set is a bit disappointing, who made the decision to fade out the live version of Gangsters in the music and not the applause.
But thanks for the answer about the Specials, at least I do not need to buy those now.
As for the Selecter, the songs Al Capone and Madness are sung by a male voice. Is this Prince Buster of Nick Welsh?
