I see The Specials have a 7" double A side released for this years Record Store Day.

Here's the full list (including a Madness shaped picture disc, double live Dexys album and a 'new' Desmond Dekker album) - https://recordstoreday.co.uk/releases/rsd-2019/

Good to see One Step Beyond being re-released. I would hate to go a year without another Madness re-issue...... Shocked

Fear not Trojan, I am sure the band also has plans for a 40th anniversary re release of the full album later this year...

Jesus, is that what it was retailling for £14.99?

I saw quite a few eBay ghouls listing it within hours of purchase. At vastly inflated prices of course.

l put in rsd 2019 into ebays search and thousands of releases came up at well inflated prices. People have just jumped on it to make money, its ruined what it was all about. Least Paul Weller saw it for what it was a few years back now, and has refused to release anything more for it.

You have to wonder how many of the original sales from the shops were to genuine fans?

RSD has always been a con. Retailers have to pay an up front fee to take part and even then they have no guarantee which releases they will be issued with despite what they may have requested. Major labels are just using it to flog back catalogue.

The 2 Tone RSD release was in the minority in that it contained un-released tracks/versions.

The Sex Pistols record company are among the worst culprits. Nevermind The Bollocks and the singles have been released in just about every permutation possible.

I have bought the RSD single of the Specials, 18EUR.
Part of the collection, like the live EP from 2012 and the Dub single of 2014.
I have also the Madness 2015 single with Love Struck, this was really expensive, 26EUR.
I Could not manage to get the RSD 2019 release of One Step Beyond.
