That's good to know Imani. Haven't got round to reading my copy yet. Waiting for a nice couple of weeks abroad in the sun to enjoy its merits _________________ "And he listens to his stereo" |

The book is a very good read. I didn't know they had made a documentary about it. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

I wasn't aware until today they'd done a documentary either. If it's anything like the book (volume one of what will be three books), then it'll be brilliant. |

It's a good read, Roger Daltrey's book. I like what he said about his pre-Who days when he was working in a factory; workers used to sing to pass the time, and singing was a part of the culture, not only for musicians:
“Singing changes your brain. It reduces cortisol and increases the release of endorphins and oxytocin. Some people have to take drugs to do that. Why not just have a bit of a singalong? Singing in groups is even better. Scientists, not musicians, have found that our heart rates sync up when we sing together. You don’t even have to be any good. Don’t believe me? I refer you to the University of Sheffield’s memorable 2005 paper: ‘Effects of group singing and performance for marginalised and middle-class singers.” |
