Back when Morrissey's solo stuff was good...

Both of those a great cover versions/

Suggs and Chas both sang backing vocals on Morrissey tracks.

You're The One For Me Fatty is said to be about Chas

Dub version by Rhoda on bandcamp:

Morrissey's early solo work was definitely his best, but I think the 'You Are The Quarry' album from 2004 was very good too

I agree You Are The Quarry was good. Since then the only single I liked was 'Jacky's Only Happy When She's Up On The Stage.'
I used to love reading interviews with him but now it's always a case of 'Big Mouth Strikes Again'

Morrissey is a great example of someone whose best years are behind them.

I am huge fan of The Smiths. Everyone one of their albums is superb, but I think the last great album Morrissey released was Bona Drag. It's been a steady nose dive in quality since then.

I agree Harry, back in the day reading Morrissey interviews was quite the experience. Very witty and very funny.

The man has turned out to be a complete asshole. The Smiths court case laid bare to the type of person he really is.

His latest hissy fit is over the episode of The Simpsons which take the piss out of him. In it he gives up veganism because he discovers 'it was invented by foreigners'...lol

I wonder what went wrong?
Maybe he's thinking "there's no such thing as bad publicity" so he wears a Britain First badge, claims to be a fan of Nigel Farage and says Sadiq Khan can't speak English etc but it just seems like feeble attention seeking.
I feel there is at least one or two good songs left in him or a novel or something.
