Brad is on my list of favourite drummers, but there are alot of fantastic drummers in this world and alot of them aren't lucky enough to be recognised for their talent, or even heard much. Some of those street drummers are geniuses (is that a word??).
Credit where it's due though, Brad belts out some of the best Wink

Brad is great and JB's Allstars proves his versatility too. But Chris Sharrock is very under rated not for his stuff with Oasis or Wobbily Williams before but listen to the Icicle Works stuff and don't forget he played on Terry's solo albums too.

Dave Grohl is a very busy man, but tbh, i dont think hes any better or worse than alot of other drummers out there, got to respect his ability to switch like.

I've gotta disagree with you there mate, I simply couldnt bracket Grohl as a just another drummer type. I'm not a great FF fan, but I think he's a bit special in that dept.

Cool

There's loadsa great drummers, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the punk trio of Rat Scabies of the Damned, Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols and Topper/Nicky Headon of The Clash yet!

Charley Charles overall for me Very Happy

But Brad and John Jacobs would be the best Ska drummers Cool

Dylan Howe, the current Blockheads drummer is a classy, steady drummer and a nice bloke too, he's also drumming for Wilko Johnson at the moment, playing along side his fellow Blockhead, the legend that is Norman Watt Roy! What a power trio, now there's another thread/debate, great bass players, Norm Watt Roy IS THE bass player bar none, and again a fecking nice bloke too!

If I'd thought of it - I'd definitely have included Rat!

maybe the best SKA drummer

nah, that'd have to be Lloyd Knibbs, but then I've never really classed The Specials as ska or Brad's playing.
